How does installation work

Since this is the first time we are getting Granite (http://tanbrown.org) Counter (http://GialloFiorito.com) tops, I have a lot of questions. We went to a fabricator who came highly recomended and (http://maplered.com) he gave us a price by looking at the drawing from our kitchen guy. Do they cut the Granite (http://tanbrown.org) right from that drawing or do they come to our house once the cabinets are installed and (http://maplered.com) remeasure again? How does this procedure work and (http://maplered.com) how long does the whole process usually take?
